The latest development in the physicochcmical treatment of disease is tho reported discovery of Doctor Max lCaufmann, lecturer at tho Halle University, who has subcutaneously injected patients suffering from excessive corpulence, and oven fatty heart, with a solution of palladium (a metal of the platinum group), made colloidal, or plastic, and utilised in a paraffin solution. Two injections weekly, it is said, produced H dailv loss of two pounds weight, not only without ill effects, but with a feeling of pleasant relief. Palladium acts on the system by chemical reaction, increasing the natural oxydisation of food. —"Daily News."
