THE MOVEMENT OF TROOPS. By Telegraph—Press Aesocfation-CopyrftM London, May 21. The Chinese authorities in London explain tho alleged recent movement of troops. They say that reinforcements have been sent to prevent the spread of unrest fomented by a discontented Wu. chang official.
CTko "Daily Telegraph's" Peking correspondent reported recently that a furmidable enveloping movement of the Northern troops was proceeding for the occupation of strategio points on the old Yangteo River, with the intention of isolating and menacing the provinces of Hunan and ICiang-si. The newspapers stated that all tho troops in the vicinity of Peking were armed in readiness-!
THE LOAN. London, May 21. The Chinese loan has been largely oversubscribed. It is quoted at 1 per cent premium.
