SCOTTISH EMIGRATION.
GREAT INCREASE. London, May 15. The emigration from Scotland in tho last four and a. half'.months was 30,000 —an'increase of 10,000, as compared with the corresponding period of last year. Less than 50 per cent, of tho emigrants wcro agricultural labourers. Tho great scarcity of agriculturists in many parts of Scotland has resulted in improved conditions being offered to farm workers, and consequently men are content to stay in the country.—"Sydney Sun."
