On Saturday afternoon the senior foothall t-eain journeyed to Levin, where they met and defeated Kimljerley by G points to 3. The juniors played Foxton. at 1 oxton, and won l>y G points to H. roKoniavu defeated Ilui Mai at Toltomaru by 11 P °The Kev"j. A. M'Kenzie occupied (lie chair at tho weekly meeting of tho debating Society m tho Druids Hall «n Tuesday night, whan members of tho society' brought- various curios, on the 1-Horv of which they expatiated. Amongst tliosa who brought "Ejects of cuyiosity were Mm. Hensman, Misse, i.atirvig and Lmsell, Messrs. Exall. Trainer, Sinclair, Hensman. Selby, and the Tt-ev. Mr. M'lCenzic. The remainder of the evening was filled.in by items by Messrs. Sinclair, M'Kenz.ie, and Trainer Alt- 11 GH", the well-known flaxroillM, who with Mrs. Grtig and Jlr. E. Gmg is on a European tour at present, has been sending some lime in Mjj Switzerland, and I ranee Ho visited IVrne and Zurich, and then journeyed down the llhii.e through Strasburg and Heidelberg to Frankfurt,, thence to Ostend. via Cologne and Brussels, and IS at present- in the Old Oiunlr\.
