At o meeting of the Ladies' Guild Committee on Tuesday, it was decided to entertain Mrs. (Rev.) Smith at afternoon tea prior to her leaving the district, and to make her a presentation. , The Her. J. E. Jones, after a months holiday at a Wellington seaside resort, has returned 'to Paraparaumu. ■ It lias been decided to open the State c chool hero at 9 a.m. instead of 11.30 as at 'present, and to closc it half an hour earlier.
