Tasker, tho trainer, and Clinton, the owner of tho mare, had an agreement to share tho winnings. Tasker failed to accept the mare for tho New Zealand Trotting Cup, for which Clinton had backed her. Clinton retaliated by scratching tho mare for all engagements.
