DISAPPOINTING WORK.

MAT AWAIT NEXT HIGH TIDES. Little news wag availaMo concerning tho stranded liner Indrabarah yesterday. Tho nor'-westerly gale which prevailed on Monday would havo the effect of bringing ■up a lumpy sea, and it is likely that this has had some effect on tho salvage arrangements. Last evening tho wind veered from tho west to tho south, and according to tho meteorological report bad weather is forthcoming. Heavy seas are predicted on .the West Coast.

Tho following message was received by the Secretary of the Post and Telegraph Department (Mr. W. E. Morris) from the postmaster at Bulls yesterday afternoon: —"At 1 o'clock to-day tho Indrabarah had not teen moved, and tho sea then was getting higher than yesterday." Later (at 8.30 jp.m.) tho postmaster at Bulls telegraphecl: "Very disappointing day at Indrabarah, due chiefly to the continued high seas. Tlie general opinion is that operations will be suspended until tho next high tide."
