A MYSTERY OF THE SEA.
SUNKEN'WRECK. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. May 20, 11.30 p.m.) Melbourne, May 20. During dragging operations for a sunken punt at Western Port, the drag caught a snag. A diver descended, and discovered that the drag had caught a large sunken vessel. Tho wreck had a beam of forty feet, and was built of English oak. A search of records failed to disclose mention of any such wreck, but residents of Phillip Island state that they remember years ago skeletons being found strewn on the. adjacent beaches, but it was never discovered where they came from.
