HARRIERS.
Kelbnrna Tea Kiosk; was the meeting place of the AVellingtan Harrier Club oil Saturday. Tho "trail" was delegated to C. Lamberg and S. M'Dowall. Starting from tho Kiosk, it led across tho gully in a westerly direction to Boundary Read, and then the road was followed to the AVireless Station, via tho viaduct and' ■Northland. Good running was obtained along the ridge of llio-Tiimkori Ilills until the storage' reservoir in Wadestown was reached, whore the trail descended to the road, and, turning in a southerly direction, led towards Karori. Tho Creswiek Road was sthick some distance past AA'ilton's Br.sh, and from this point the return was made by road, via Karori tunnel and Kclburn'o Parade. Number 0110 pack, in charge of T. Farrington (vice-captain), could hardly be referred to as tho "slows," as they gfit'fnirly close to the hares, and left tlio second pack (who conceded them about seven minutes' start) well in tho rear, until about two miles from home. A little over a mile from tho finish the pack was halted, and teams were selected by AV. Press, tho vice-captain and captain, for a teams race, which proved interesting. .Tho order of finishing was: AV. Donaldson, 1; T. Jfarrington, 2; T. J. Iverr, 3; D. Jones, 4. The last-nained's running was an "eye-op<r.ier," and lie'showed a clean pair of heels to £01110 of the older runners in tho final sprint. The team captained by W. Press won by a margin of two points from vice-captain 1 arrington's team. Next Saturday, tho combined clubs will hold a teams race 011 Athletic Park during the football, interval.
