A Dutch steamer, which has arrived from the East, Teports that severo submarine disturbances of the south-en. coast of Java were followed by a subsidence of the sea bottom, which, caused nearly all tho Sudoetung Islands to disappear. Some of the islands are now mere sand, banks, while others havo only small portions showing up above the sea-level.
