Sir Edward Carson, M.P., and Leader of the Ulster Unionists, in opening tho Unionist Drill Hall, in East Belfast, said that force' only would be used as a last resort to beat back those who wero daring to barter away the Loyalists' elementary rights of citizenship. Sir Edward Carson said he declined t» >e a party to any compromise, on thv Home Rule Bill. Ho added that Ulster adhered to the covenant. The King must be satisfied that the Bill had the overwhelming support of his subjects, and any Minister advising him to sign tho Bill .would bo incurring a grave, and almost a desperate, ' responsibility.
