FREAK COWS.
LENGTHY LACTATION PERIODS. A paragraph printed iu a Sydney paper recently'stated that a cow belonging to 3'r. N. M'Slmnc, of Campbelllowri, near Adelaide, had been in mill: continuously for ten years. This drew from another correspondent the following statement:— Tiiero is a cow belonging to Mrs. T. M'Alistcr, Hay Street, Cootamumlra, which had "a calf when site v;as four years old. She Ims only hnd the one calf. She will be sixteen years old next month. Sho has been in milk twelve years in" June, and is still milking. Like Mr. M'S'nano's cow, shg springs her milk vhen the grass gets green.-
