HUTT ROAD CONTROL.

QUESTION OF REPRESENTATION It was reported to the City Council by tile Finance Committee last evening that t he General Manager of the New Zealand Railways had intimated that ho intended to gazette the new Hull lioad as being vested in the 'Wellington City Council. The committee recommended that the General Manager should be informed that until the allocation of the cost of the road had been fixed no action should bo taken. Also, that he should be informed that the council was of opinion that the management of the road should be vested in a board composed of representatives of the contributing liodies. The report was adopted, without comment. ■
