(Byd.), in 190S, Dr. Bullock went to London as a Rhodes scholar the following year, and his career both in London and at Oxford has been one of brilliant success. Whilst at Oxford Dr. Bullock played in the Oxford Rugby tifteen against Cambridge, and was, in bis final year, elected by the undergraduates as president of New College. Mr. Borneo Gardiner, sifl'lenr, of Wellington, who in August last left for Sydney, returned to Wellington by the Jloeraki yesterday, lie was engaged by Hie management of liickards' Vaudeville Company. During tho last week of his engagement, which terminated in the month of February last. Mr. Gardiner took ill. and had to undergo an operation.
