Protection of Women and Children.
A mceling of tho Society for tho Protection of Women and Children was held on Friday afternoon, Mrs. W. A. Evans presided. There wero present: Lady Stout and Jlcsdames A. R. Atkinson, C. 11. Izardj W. P. Ward, G. Ponsonby, J. Kirkcaldie, A. Ho by, D. Jl'Lean, and Miss Stewart. Numerous cases that had undergone investigation wero reported • upon, and it was decided to givo help where necessary. Tho following subscriptions were acknowledged with thanks:— Mrs. J.
