ANNUAL MEETING. ANOTHER RECORD TEAK. By Telenraph—Preaa Association—Copyright (Rec. May 9, 10 p.m.) Sydney, May 9. At the annual meeting of tlie A.M.F. Society, 'tli-9 chairman reported tliat there had boon another record year. The funds had reached the imposing figures of .£30,007,657. The society's business was a true reflection of the general conditions prevailing in Australasia. Given good seasons, reasonably enlightened government, and a duo sense of responsibility of tlie people of the Commonwealth and Now Zealand, nothing could inipedo tho society's triumphant march. Tho rc-turns from the London branch had continued to improve steadily. The new business in New Zealand had constituted a record; as tlie mortgages at December 31 amounted to £3,500,000, and of that sum not a single penny was in arrears. Dr. M'Cormick was elected a director in the place of Mr. B. Short, deceased. Tho other directors were re-clectcd. The chairman promised that the directors would consider tho suggestion of' granting a bonus to tho staff.
