UNIMPROVED VALUES.
INCREASED RATE IN SYDNEY. THE COST OF LABOUR, Br Talegrapb—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. May 8, 9 p.m.) Sydney, May 8. The City Council has increased the unimproved capital valuo rate from Id. to lid. A further increase is foreshadowed. It is stated that the increase Is necessitated by a. 30 per cent, advance in the wages of the council employees and tho augmented pi ices of materials.
