■ FUNERAL AT PETONE. , Tho funeral of liangiwhaia To' Puni 'took place at Pc'tqno yesterday nftornoon, find was largely attended by Europeans find Natives. TJio service and ceremony were conducted by Commissioner Richfirds, of tho Salvation Army, and (ho Rev. G. B. Stephenson,, vicar of St. Augustine's. The Salvation Army Band preceded the cortege, playing the Dead ; March. '. Amongst' those following were 'the staff if Commissioner Richard?, Mr. T. M. Wilford, M,P., arid a number of .prominent Natives. The interment took place at the family vault in the old 'Maori cemetery on Petono beach. The tangi, which commonced last Monday, will bo continued for several days.
