Mr. JJaUillie I bought it would bo a mistake lo prevent Uovornment competition. Mr. M'Rne did not agree with Mr. Bnlsillie. Mr. R. M'Nab .said bo did not believe in the Government entering the prize ring, but lie did. not object to tho stork being exhibited, lie favoured tbo matter being brought beforo tho Minister tor Agriculture and asking him to forego tbo right of the'competition, but. exhibit. the stock all tbo same. Mr. Short said il was only right to liavo Government compelitioii,' and it" private individuals could beat the Government all the more credit to thorn. Mr. Levctt agreed with Mr. Short It was decided that the amendment, passed at tbo last meeting be rescinded, and the association ' will now tako no further action in tho matter.
