DIRECTION RE MONEYS. In the Supreme Court on _ Saturday morning, tiie Chief Justice (Sir Robert Stout) delivered reserved judgment in a case in which lie had been a6ked for a direction as to how certain moneys were to be applied in a liquidation case—the voluntary liquidation of the Palmer Engineering Co., Ltd. , Mr. W. J. Sim appeared for the liquidator, while Mr. R. Kennedy appeared for tho Pulsometer Engineering Co., Ltd., who were directly interested m the matters before the Court. The application. concerned the following:—(1) =C 79 Is. 7d., the invoice value of certain goods received from the Pulsometer Engineering Co., Ltd., and sold by the Palmer Co. prior to the date of liquidation; (2) JESS 12s. ad., the invoice value of goods received from tlie Pulsometer Co., and <old by the liquidator subsequent to the date of the liquidation; and (3) goods of the invoice value of ill 12s. Bd. received from the Pulsometer Co., and still in stock. The main question was as to whether the relationship of the companies, in regard'to the second and tejrd items was that of principal and Agent, or of debtor and creditor. His Honour directed that in regard to (1) the Pulsometer Co. had no claim on tho money except as a creditor of tho Palmer Engineering Co., Ltd.; in regard to (2) the money should bo paid to the Pulsometer Co.; in regard to (3) the. goods should bo delivered to the Pulsometer
