Tho Auckland Builders', Contractors', and General Labourers' Union lias given the emploj-ers seven days' notico that it requires 0 conference to draw up an agreement for wages and conditions of work. Tlio union asks for a 4-1-hour week, and' in wet places a working day of not moro than six hours. For dry work, tho nnion wants Is. 3d. an hour, and for work in wet .places 2s. per hour.
