The Prime Minister (the Hon. W. F. Massey), who is at present in Auckland, is due back in Wellington early this week. Vl'lio Hon. W. H. Herrics is at present in Christchurch, the Hon. A. I). Bell in Auckland, and the Hon. Dr. Poinaro in Normanby. Tho Hon. F. M. B. Fisher will arrive from Australia on Wednesday. The Hon. W. Fraser returned from the West Coast on Saturday, and will bo in Wellington for a fewdays. The Hon. A. L. Herdninn and the Hon. E. H. Rhodes ore at present in Wellington. The Hon. F. M. B. Fisher left Sydney on Saturday on his return to New Zealand. His Grace Archbishop Redwood, Roman Catholic Archbishop of Wellington, who has been abroad for somo time, is to arrive back hero by tho Ulimaroa on Wednesday. On Saturday morning tho death occurred at Petone of Rangiwhaia To Puni, a member of the Ngalimaniapoto, Waikato, Ngatitoa, and Ngatitauia tribes. She was tuo lust living descendant of Takaraugi and Raunialiora. Deceased, who was 90 years of age, had been in ill-health for Isomo time past. With her late- husband, Henare To Puni, she was noted in the early days for hospitality towards tlip Europeans who first landed at Petone. Preparations are now being made for a tangi, which will take place at tho residence on the Hull Road, Petone. 1 The death in anouneed of Mr. .Tames Dalgleish, one of tho oldest settlers in the County of Akaroa. Ho was born in 1831, at Strathavcn, Lanarksiro, Scotland. In ISGI ho married and came out to New Zealand. After staying in Wellington for about a year, ho went to Banks Peninsula, and resided at Duvauchcllc.. Mr. J. M. Muir, of Messrs. J. E. Nathan and Co.'s staff, and Mrs. Muir, who have been on a visit to Europe ami South Africa, returned to Wellington by the Euapehu on Saturday. Dr. and Mrs. T. Hono Lewis, of Auckland, arc leaving for England via Canada by the Niagara on Saturday next. The Rev. P. Smalliiuld and Mrs. Smalliield will leave on May 10, for a trip through Canada and on to J.omlon. They will also tour the Continent, returning to New Zealand via Suez. Tho following officers for the ensuing year have been elected by the parishioners of All Saints' Church, KilbirnierVioar's churchwarden, Sir. G. T. Taplin; parishioners' churchwarden, Mr. A. B. Chappell; vestry, Messrs. G. Flux, C. 11. Seville, A. 'J'. Perry, O. W. Williams, .T. Lynox, J. Whitehead, D. Bray, W. Scnones, E. Hitchcock, C. F. Wiggins; auditor, Mr. 1L A. lluggins. A Press Association message states that Sir William Hall-.lones and family will remain in Sydney for a few weeks prior to their return to the Dominion. Sir William 11 nil-.]ones states that he does not intend to re-enter the political arena, but wilt settle down in private life.
