TWO LADS UP FOR SENTENCE. SHOP TILL ATTEMPTED. Two youths appeared before Mr. Justice Chapman in the Supremo Court yesterday to bo sentenced on a chargc to which 'they had. pleaded guilty in the Lower Court They had attempted to steal money from the shop (ill of Guiseppo Stofano, in Vivian Street. Will'am John Cottam Fuller, aged IG, and Arthur Charles Furzer, aged 1!). were the offender.'). They were not represented by counsel, when they .appeared in Court yesterday. Both lads deserted from the steamer Rotorua, and tho Magistrate had wado an order for them to return to the ship, but yesterday, Mr. H. H. Ostler, who appeared for the Crown, stated that Adjutant Green, of the Salvation Array, had a proposal tp make with Tegard to Fuller. This bay had been living for tlie past fortnight at tho adjutant's home.

II is Honour, after hearing Adjutant Green, assented to fuller being placed in the care of the Salvation Army. In ordering him to como up for sentence when called upon, his Honour remarked that if he behaved himself he would have/a good chanco in this countrv. Ilis Honour also ordered Furze!' to como up for sentence when called upon. Tho report from London in regard to this lad was not good, and his Honour directed that the Magistrate's order .should operate, and that Furzcr should bo placed on board the steamer.
