PROPOSED ANNUITIES. MEMORIAL FOR. CAPTAIN OATES. Br Telceraph—Press Association-Copyright London, April 30. Mr. Asquith, in a letter to the- Lord Mayor announcing tho proposed annuities to tho relatives of tho victims of tho Scott disaster, stated Hint thoso wero tho full oxtcnt of tho Government's undertaking, and that in framing its proposals the Government had taken into consideration tho matter of equitable augmentation from the Mansion House Fund. Tho newspapers state that Captain Oates's relatives were not mentioned, as Captain Oates was a' bachelor with an ample fortune, but that a portion of tho subscriptions will be applied to tho erection of a suitable memorial.
