COMMISSIONER AT DUNEDIN, (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Dtincdin, May I. Commissioner Cullcn arrived in Duncdin this afternoon, and subsequently had n conference with members of the police force. Activity in connection with ll.ho lormatiou of tlxo .Police Association lias resulted in Constablo Sniythe being transferred to Greymouth. On Wednesday ho was informed that tho Commissioner hud instructed Jiiin to remove to Greymouth. Hie order was contained ill a telegram to ihe senior sergeant from tho Commissioner, stating that, in view of tho part which Constablo Sniythe had taken ill 'he attempt to form tho association; and having regard to the fart that, because of his action, ho was now regarded b.v his sergeants and officers with distrust, it was thought better (in his own interests) to reniovo him from their supervision. Constable Sniythe goes south to-night, and was given a "send-oft" at tho station. The activity in connection with 'tho association continues.
