Geuural Hertzog, in. a bitter attack, accused tho Prime Minister, General Botha, of duplicity and tho misrepresentation of facts. General Botha had, ho said, subverted tho interests of tho country and abandoned tho party.
General Botha, in a dignified, impassioned and exhaustive reply, said ho declined to put tho country to tho expense and inconvenience of a general election merely because General Hertzog desired to re-enter office.
