'J'lio following remits for discussion at the irovincial Conference were passed at the annual meeting of the Marton branch of the iSew Zealand .Fanners' Union, says our own correspondent:— That it bo an instruction from the Provincial Conference to the Doininiou Conference to wait upon the Minister,-and endeavour to obtuin from' him a pledge that tho Government will not fail to bring up the Stallion. Registration Bill 111 tne coming session 01 Parliament. That: the Government be requested to pass legislation that will prevent cows suffering from contagious mammitis being sold as dairy cows. Officers were clected as under:—President, Mr. G. L. Marshall; vice-presidents, Messrs. Brico and Wilde; ' committee> Messrs.■ T. H, Willis, Walter Simpson. Geo. Ellis, S. Coombe, K. W. Dalrymplc, W. J. Birch, Jos. Lauipp, 1?. Iv. Simp: son, Jas. Johnston, .1. \Y. Marshall, Wiiu Morrison, Ancel Gray, and I{. AVarriner. Mr. C. E. Cooko was re-elected secretary and treasurer, and Mr. 11. 11. Richardson auditor. Messrs. Willis and Bricc were elected delegates to the Provincial Conference at Masterton on May 27. At the annual meeting of tlie.Masterton branch of tho union, tho district organiser, Mr. Hebentou. stated that the union was in a very satisfactory condition in the Wairarapa. Branches liad been formed at Greytoirn, Carterton, Featherston, Martinborougli, and elsewhere. The Masterton centre had a membership of 112, and in the total Wairarnpa district there were about 350 members. The following local committee was elected for the ensuing year Messrs. Hugh Morrison. J. C. Cooper, A. J. Percy, AV. Percy, D. M'Gregor, W. L. Falconer, ]?. D. M'Kenzie, (i. 11. Bruce, and I). AV. Foreman.
Messrs. H. Morrison and ■ .T. C. Cooper were appointed representatives of tho ccntro on the district executive. .
