, THE SEASON OPENED. The hockey Benson opened on Saturday, when a_ seven-a-sido tournament was played eit Knrori. Wellington C defeated University B in the final by Uto nil. The winners had a handicap of 6. In tho final o£ the ladies' seven-a-side tournament Girls' College drow with Ramblers, each team obtaining i goals.
