Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report on their Pahiatua sale, held on Tuesday, and their Waimiro sale, hold on Thursday, at which they offered a medium yarding of sheep and cattle at both fixtures to~p. largo attendance of buyers and others. Messrs. Abraham and Williams,• Ltd., re-port-as follows:—At Pahiatua, on April 22. we offered a good yarding of sheep and an extra heavy yarding of cattle, well over advertised numbers, close on ICOO head being yarded. Tho of the cattle wero the bullocks, mostly Si-year-olds, tof which there were over dCO, a' largo portion being of nice quality. This class met strong competition, Miv D. W. Allen ton--1 ping tho market with £7 lis. Other bullocks did not mcetrirauh prood inquiry, although Mrs. Burling's sold well, both the Polled Angus and Hereford-cross cattle making £6 10s. Wfo have to report a Inghlx satisfactory clearance. The attendant* was large, Wai'raiapa and Manawatu buyers being in strong evidence, and taking the bulk of tho grown cattle. A full clearance was made in the;sheep, values showing an advanco of late rates.
