OBITUARY.
MR, JAMES EMBLING. ■Tho dentil occurred at Ronn Bay HouM) yesterday moruing of Mr. James Embliug, formerly, general manager of tho Bank of Now Zealand. Mr. Embling'a health had been seriously affected for some timo past,; and dentil was not altogether unexpected. Tho deceased gentleinnn, who was 70 years of age, joined tho etntT of tho Bank of New Zealand as accountant to tho Auckland houso - 011 August 2, 1875. 'J'lireo years later 110 was appointed manager at Greyniouih,. and in 1879 ho wj\a promoted to tho position of inspector. In August, ISBO, M' was appointed general manager of tho bank, and, ten vears ago, lie, at his own request, retired 011 pension. He leaves J 1 widow, but 110 family.
