WANTED-GATES.
THE LEVEL-CROSSING PERIL. (By Telegraph— Special Correspondent.) Marton, April 25. Tho danger of level crossings is to receive attention at the hands of tho Marton Borough Council at a meeting 011 Monday night, when the following motion will be' moved: "That the attention of tho Govornmojt be directed to tho grave danger to tho public arising from tho inadequate means of protection, at level railway crossings, and that, this council osk for the co-operation of all boroughs in tho Dominion to niako determined .efforts to insist that, nil prominent crossings be provided with gates or other means, whereby this increasing danger to tho public may be averted."
