Dalgely and Company, Ltd., report on their Sotway sale as follows:—A fairlv good entry of sheep were offered to tho usual attendance of buyer?. A largo pro* portion' of the entry consisted of aged and inferior ewes, which only met witfi a limited demand, bambs met with better inquiry throughout. Wo had a total clearance at the following list of prices:-—Aged ewes. ss. to 75.; s.m. ewes, Bs. to 9s. 3d.; for ward ewe?, ewes in lamb, 9?. 6ri. to ICs.; medium lamb?, 7s. to Bs.; good shorn lambs, 9s. fid., 9a. 9d. to 9s. 10c!. i j The New Zealand Loan nnd Mercantile | Agency Co., Ltd., report:—Wo held our l monthly Waikanac pale at our yards on' i Tuesday last, when we offered about 9()6 sheep and 50 head cattle to a medium attendance of buyers. Thero was an absence of outside buyers, and, in consequence. wo found bidding? by auction alittle alow, and one or two lots of hotk sheep and cattle were passed in. However, we managed to quit the bulk of Lhes«» privately, after the sale. Shorn lamb* (off hills), to 7s. fid.; smaller torte, to 6s. rd.: wooly lambs, to Bs. 10d.; yearling sleet's from £2 ss. to «£2 12s. 6d.; dairy heifers, r.w.b., from £4 2s. 6d. to £5 35.; springing heifers, from £4 to £7 10s.; light harnees horses, (unbroken), from £5 10s. to £8. James Macintosh and Co. report having held their weekly salo in their Waipoua Glasterton) sale yards, on Wednesday, when they offered a good yarding of 1470 sheep and 73 head cattle, also a. number of liorees, which met with good competition throughout the sale, and consequently thero was a good clearance at rates well above late Woolly lambs, Bs., Bs. ld„ to 9s. 10d.; shorn lambs, ss. 7d., 6s. 7d.. &3.i Bs. 5d.;, 6-tooth to fm. ewes. Its. Id.: empty ewes, Bs. 7d„ 9s. 7d. to 93. lid.; old owes, 4s. ld. to 4s. 10d.; 2-tooth wethers, 14s. Id.; b.f. lambs, Bs. Bd. to lie. 7d.; springing heifers, £6 to £6 -55.; 18-months steers, £Z 35.: springing cows, £6 10s.: forward cows, £4; store cows. £2 17s. 6d. to £3 10s.; heifers, £2 lis. to £3 55.; cows and calves, £3; 6-year draught more and foal, £25 10s.; hacks, £3 10s. to £7; weaner pigs. 10s. 6d.
