N.S.W. LABOUR TROUBLES.
TRADERS STOP CREDIT. Br Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, April 22. It is understood there will be a distribution of striko pay in connection with tho Southern coal miners this week. Cases aro reported where traders have stopped all credit, resulting in families having littlo or nothing to live on. Mr. Carmichael, Minister for labour,, to-morrow confers with representatives of the Northern and Southern miners and the coal lumpers. SEQUEL TO RAILWAY STRIKE. SUMMONSES AGAINST FIFTY PORTERS. (Rec. April 22, 8.35 p.m.) ' Sydney, April 22. As a sequel to tho railway yards strike at Darling Harbour, when four hundred men ceased work, leading to a general upheaval and dislocation of business, summonses havo been issued against fifty of tlio Darling Harbour railway porters for alleged breaches of tho Industrial Act. [The men demanded a forty-eight hours' week instead of 102 hours a fortnight, and an increase from Ss. to 9s. a day in wages with an overtime rate of time and a half, and other concessions. They ultimately accepted tho Government's offer to appoint a Eoyal Commission.]
