Ono of tho oldest volunteer corps of the Dominion was >tho old Wanganui Rifles, now merged in tho Territorial system as B Company of tho Seventh Infantry Regiment. Hitherto the old members of the corps havo had no organisation to bind them to the past or (o link them up with the present system, but, following the lead of many old corps elsewhere, they decided at a. meeting on Friday evening to form an Old Wanganui Rifles' Association. Colonel J, I'. Watt was elected first president.
