Tho evidence as to is not/clear at all.-' BODY SIX DAYS iN MORGUE., Auckland, April 18. : Strong comment was made by the City Coronor (Mr. Thomas Gresham) at ni inquest yesterday afternoon upon tho fact that the body of a man had been lyW m tho morgue alongside tho court for soveral days awaiting burial. Tho body was that of a Norwegian sailor named, Haversen, and was found in the harbou* on' Tuesday morning. Tho inquest wasl held on Wednesday morning, and a war* rant for burial was then issued. Tha reason why the body had not been ro< moved should (added the coroner) 1m explaiuod by some one. ' In the present case the charitable aid authorities say* that notification did not reach them until 5 o'clock last night of the issue of the' warrant for' the burial. The body, afte* a lapse of six days, was interred to-day,.; CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER. Auckland, April 18. James Evans, a seafaring man, wa/ to-day committed for trial on a charge ol manslaughter.
