I , FALL FROM A GAR. ; A man named H. Atkinson, who fell ! off a tramcar in Courtcnay Place lust [ evening, was conveyed to the hospital, , He was suffering from concussion. . FRACTURED ANKLE. At a late hour last night, a single man i named Patrick Landie, aged 05 years, and a seaman by occupation, was admitted to ; tho hospital suffering from a broken ankle. It appears that while walking homo ho slipped on the footpath in the vicinity of Victoria Street. DANGEROUS CROSSING.' . Auckland, April 17. An inquiry was resumed by Mr. Greshain this morning at the Coroner's Court into tho circumstances connected with the death of a man named Andrew Cjugum, who was killed at Normanby Road railway' crossing on April 8. The jury returned a verdict of,death by misadventure, with no blame attachable to nnyoiie. Attention was also called by the jury to tho d.nngerous nature of the crossing. FOUND DEAD. Rotorua, April 18. A man named Granger, a /roadman, aged sixty-five, a widower, was found dead on the roadside near Lake Rotorua on Tuesday. Death was duo to heart failure. Gisbornc, April 18. Charles Gorno was found dead in an outhouse at Matawai last night. DRIVER FATALLY INJURED. Gisbornc, I pril 18. A carrier named Cameron was driving on the Matawai Road at midnight when his dray, which contained a heavy load of tiniber, cansized.on tn'him. It was two hours beforo his plight was discovered. Ho died as as result of his injuries. I FOUND IN THE RIVER BED. Christchurch, April 18. The decomposed body of a nvddle-agod man was found in tho river-bed at EJtoton' to-day. It had evidently been washed down by tho last flood. John Dillon, 'who was injured through bein? knocked down Wv a tram-car on Lambton Quay on Thursday evening, succumbed to injuries, death taking place at the Hospital last night.
