. (From Our Special Corrraponttente.) 9 FEILDING. At a public meeting held oil Wednesday evening in St. Paul's Hall, a branch of the BibiC-in-Sehoois League was formed. The Bev. A. S. Imies Jones presided at tli® meeting, ami ihu principal speaker was tho Hoy. John Walkcr._ of Aramcho, who is secretary of the AVcnuanui Central branch. Jlr. E. Burnc was elected secretary.
GREYTOWN. Tho Greytown Horticultural Socioty held its autumn show on Thursday. Theday was fiuo, but tho evening set in wot and rather spoiled tho attendance. In flowers, the entries were- not up to the usual standard, and, in part, the farm produce entries were disappointing. The bouquets and decorations, however, made a good show, and home produce was fairly well represented. Tho fruit division ,was no doubt tho most important in the show.. There was a capital selection in Ellis' class, and tho prizes were "well distributed.. - The half-yearly meeting of the Wairarapa Past Grand Lodge was.held- on Thursday evening, P.O. Bro. Boake being in the chair. The following were the nominations:—Pres. Bro. J. Wallis; V.P., Bros. Delaney, Watkins, and Tait; wardens.vßros. Terry, Lindop, and Winskill; routine master, Bro: Boake; committee, Bros. Pensham, Nicholson, Lindop, P. Smith, Loasby, MTJennan, and Benton; auditors, Bros. Masters and Loasby. A voto of condolence was passed to . Bro. Fenshain on the loss of his wife. .
