DIRECTION ASKED FOE. 11l tho Supreme Court yesterday, the Chief Justicb (Sir Robert Stout) was asked for a direction as to how certain moneys were to be npplied in a liquidation case— the voluntary liquidation of the Palmer Engineering 'Co., Ltd. . Mr. W. J. Sim appeared for the liquidator, while Mr. R. Kennedy appeared for the I'ulsomctcr Engineering Co., Ltd., who were directly interested in the matters before tho Court. Tho application concerned the following (1) X 79 Is. 7d., the invoice value of crtain"-goods received from the Pulsometer Engineering Co., Ltd., and sold by tho Palmer Co. prior to the date of liquidation; (2) .£52 12s. 5d., the invoice value of goods received from the Pulsomctcr Co., and sold by the liquidator subsequent to the dale of tho liquidation; and U) poods of the invoice value of Jill 12s. Su. received from Hie Pulsometcr Co., and still in stock. The main question was as to whether the relationship of the ronijinnies, in regard lo the ?ecowl mul Intra itens wa> that of principal and agent, or of debtor and ciedilur.
