Tho Hon. W. H. Hemes i 6 at Goro and the Hon. E, H. Ehodcs at Christchurch. The Hon. Dr. Poinare is at Auckland. He will leave to-night by Main Trunk express for lnglcwood, reaching that town on Saturday evening. Ho will leave Inglewood for Now Plymouth on Monday. Tho other Cabinet Ministers are in Wellington. Tho Hon. W. Frasor leaves on Monday for the West Coast, and on the following day the Prime Minister will leave for tho King Country. , Mr. Christian Hellsman, tho new conductor of the Royal "Wellington Choral Society, arrived from Sydney by the Warrimoo yesterday. He was present at the choral rehearsal of "Carmen" : .at St. John's Schoolroom last CTening. Mr. J. M. Hussey, solicitor, of Huntcrville, was, on the motion of Mr. V. B. S. Meredith, yesterday morning admitted by his Honour Mr.-Justice Chapman to practice as a barrister of the Supreme Court. Tho Eev'. P. W. Clarkson, vicar of Taihape, and chairman of tho District High and Technical Schools, is in town, making arrangements for, tho scholars' entertainment, while is the city to-day to visit the warship. Arrangements have also been made to take tho children to the Newtown Zoo, and they will return by special train at night. Our Masterton correspondent states that after a prolonged tangi, in which huny dreds of Natives from districts took part, the funeral of the victim of Saturday's earthquake—Moani Ngawhiro—took place at tho Native cemetery yesterday afternoon. Mr. W. H. Morton has been nominated by the City Council asa meriibfer of the Flumbsr's' Board of New Zealand, as provided by tho Plumbers' Registration Act, 1912, nominations for such appointment having been requested by the Public Health 'Department. Tho City Council last night, on the motion of Councillor Smith, passed a resolution of sympathy with tho Mayor (Mr. D. M'Laren) and 'tho Mayoress in their recent bereavement.' Mr. J. Carson, late manager of the Potone' Eailway Workshops, and who left Pctouo yesterday for Addington, was presented, prior to his departure, with" a case of pipes from the foremen and leading hands.
