POLITICIANS DENY COUNTEECHAEGES. By TeleEranh—Preoi Association—donyriirlit London, April 11. ■ Tho sitting of the Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry into the • between the Marconi Wireless Telegraphy Company and tho British Post Office was continued to-day. Mr. Godfrey Isaacs, president of tho Marconi Company, and a brother of Sir Eufus Isaacs (Attorney-General), gavo evidence that ho had heard through Mr. Hawkins and others that Major ArcherSlieo (Unionist M.P. for Finsbury Central) and Mr. J. Norton Griffiths (Unionist M.P. for Wednesbury) wcro associated with the Poulsen Syndicate in endeavouring to prevent ratification of the contract between tho Post Office and tho Marconi Company. Major Archer-Shee : subsequently sent a telegram to tho committee denying that he had any financial interest'in ojiy wireless concern. Mr. Griffiths also denies that h» was cvsr interested in tho Poulsen 6ystem or that ho spread rumours about Ministers or tho contract. Tho whole story, he eays, is a pure invention. (Eec. April IG, 0.15 a.m.) London, April 15. Mr. Godfrey Isaacs, cross-examined, said ho was unablo to recall tho names of tho persons who had told him the rumours regarding the Government. Ho had not caltpd Sir Kufus Isaacs's attention to them. He only heard in October that the brokers had sold Sir Eufus Isaacs's Americau Marconis.
