Particularly is this tho caso in respect ta tho drapers, who have had their hand? fairly full in catering for tho demands oi tho ladies attending tlio various dances and other functions attendant upon the visit of the gift warship. During the past few days there has-been a considerable influx of people from tlio countTy, who havo added materially to the army of urgent shoppers. 'There is no mistake," laid one shop manager, "business has received a big iiliip from tho visit of tho Now Zealand. I wouldn't mind if wo had a Dreadnought every month if it is going to brisken up trade as it has dono this week. Owing to tho short notice given of 6omo of tho events, people left things until tho last minute, too late to take orders for making, so they had.to bo contented with what w« had to offet them,"
