Tlic "Commonwealth Gazette" is prob. ably but little read T>y those who reside near Lake Gillear, in tho Western, district, states a Mclbourno exchange. A recent issue, however, contains un announcement of tho greatest interest to tho residents of that district. A livo shell has, somehow or other, gono astray on tho artillery range, and livo shells command ovcry respect. Residents .of the Lako Gilloar district aro warned through notice in tho gazette that handling ,the shell will entail extremo danger, and any person finding it is required to notify at once the oiiicer commanding the lOt'h Battery, Australian Field Artillery, at Wnrriinmbool.
