Tho annual meeting of tho Wairarapa Hockey Asociation was hold last evening, twelve delegates being present. Tho bal-nuce-sheet showed a credit of ,E2l 3s. 7d. Mr. J. L. Hughes was elected president, and Mr. A. C. Pragnell secretary and treasurer. Messrs. C. Cole, R. Hatch, W. Fisher, W. G. Bannin, and W. S. L. Dickson were appointed a management committee. Tho opening day for the championship matches was fixed for tho first Thursday in May. It was decided to hold an eleven a sido tourimment on June 3. The date for tho nominations for entering teams was fixed for April 21. A taiigi is being held in connection with tho death of Hoani Ngawhiro, tho Nativo youth who lost his lifo as a Tesult of the earthquake shock on Saturday night. Mr. N,-. Hubbard, of Masterton, has been appointed manager of tho Hastings branch of tho Cpment Pipe Company.
