CALIFOENIAN LAND LAWS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. April 13, 5.5. p.m.) Washington, April 12. The President, Dr. Wilson, hopes that the Califomian Bill prohibiting alien ownership of real property in the State will not prove objectionable to the' Japanese. The Government , feels that it ,is impossible to interfere with the State's action, and points out that the Japanese laws prohibit Americans from owning land in Japan, and consequently Japan cannot properly protest. The Japanese Ambassador, fully understood California's rights in tho matter, and there is a likolihood of an amicable settlement.
