A reflection upon the probity of local letter-carriers was made at a meeting of business men hero last evening.- The meeting was primarily held for the purpose of combating the agitation in favour* of the Saturday half-holiday and a suggestion was put forward i tliat tho elec-i tors should 1 be circularised placing the advantages of .Thursday before tliem. One of thoso present then declared that it was no uso sending circulars as ho knew that, when somo pbstmen discovered thad they were carrying circulate, they did not deliver them.
