Charles Bailev, jun. (Auckland), stated that ho had just built; lor the Devonport Ferry Company a passengef steamer 120 ft. long by 26ft. beam by Gftv 9in. deep, at a cost of .£II,OOO. He re-* quired further information as to building a steamer similar to tho Col>ar. The council decided to leave the: whole matter and correspondence for the incoming council, as this was tho last meeting ol the current term.
