A valuable addition to the blood stock of tho Manawatu has, says ail exchange, iust been made by a consignment from Mr. John Grigg, of Longbcach, Canterbury, the well-known South Island breeder of Dutch Frisians, comprising a cow and four heifers of this breed. Tlio new owners are Messrs'. C. Hopping, of Glen Oroua, and W. M'Keuzie, of Palmerston. Tho former has purchased the cow and thrco fifleen-months-old heifers, and tho latter a two-year-old heifer. All the animals contain strains of tho famous Domino and Buttercup blood, and trace straight back to Mr. Grigg's first importations, direct from Holland. The name of Mr. llopping's cow is Longbcach Ideal, and thoso of Ihe heifers Longbeaeh Magpie Lassie.
