Workers opened at! the Trades Hall to-day. The following delegates are in attendance:—Auckland: Messrs. G. Davis, C. Weaver, and. J. ■Purtcll. Napier: Messrs. C. M'lvenzio, and G. A.'Raven. Mastcrton: Mr. E. liana■fan. Wnusanui: Ml'. D. J. Couclne. Wellington: Messrs. A. Parlane, J. Rogers, nnd'A. Moore. Christchurch: Messrs. 1. Green and-11. Hunter. Tiinaru: Mr. 1!. ' Dey. Dmietfin Messrs. W. \orkston and S. Anderson. Mr. George Davis was elected chairman of tho conference, and Mr. 11. G. Love, of the Wanganui Drivers' Union, and that ft; letter expressing sympathy with tho union aiul his relatives bo forwarded to them by tho secretary (members standing). • . . Act; 1908, and its amendment, WlO, amended by tho deletion of Section 50, which provides that shop assistants who also act as drivers shall put in ono hour per day if required in necessary attendance upon horses"—was adopted on the motion of Messrs.
