ORPHANS' CLUB
The annual meeting of the Wellington Orphans' Club was held in the - Grand Hotel last evening. Colonel Collins was in tho chair. The election of officers resulted as follows: —Patron, ' the Earl oi' Liverpool; vice-patron, General Godlev, C.8.; president, Colonel Collins, C'.M:G. (re-elected); vice-presidents, Hon. A. L. Herdmau, Siv Arthur GuinHess, Messrs. 1!. 13. Grange, K. 1). Hanlon, ]•:. A. B'ntt, J. M. O'Heilly; secretary, Mr. ]!. A. Keenan? treasurer, Mr. H. C. \\. Blick; musical director, Mr. \\. M'T.aughlin ; executive, Messrs, Allright, t'arr, Cerrutt.v, Christie, Frandi, Hickmott, Kelly, and Samuel; lion, auditors, Messrs. Spotswood ■ and I 1 orbeij. A proposal to hold (lie opening night in the Town nail on April 19, to take the form of n ladies' night, was carried unanimously. The officers of 11.M.5. New Zealand will be tho guests of tho club, and » special musical programme is in preparation.
