GROCERS' SPORTS
i The Wellington Grocers' Union, held their annual sports at 'Newtown Park yesterday, when a programme of cloven events was earned out. Mr, .T. Kennedy rioted us liandicapper and starter, and Messrs. W. C. Hoot (socrotary Tramways Union.), Fags, Pointer, and JPlCcnzio acted as'judges. Oilier officials were: Messrs. Howling, Richards, Alger. M'Ewen, and Ponder. There was a good utlendaneo of members ol' the union and a i'air sprinkling of the general public,. The following are tho rcsulte of tho sports;— ■ 100 Yards MnidcJi—A. J. Hayden, 1; A Avery, 2.
